It was getting close to the end of the day and I still hadn’t taken a photo of Mae. We sort of chilled today and watched movies together. I asked Mae if I could take a photo of her and she said, “Just take one like I am” – meaning in her undies and hoodie — nice, huh? And – just as I was opening the door to let her out, she ran back and asked her mama if she could use Leah’s sword – her and her props!

As we got out on the porch it began to rain — I told her we had to hurry — I told her to raise the sword like she was the KING of the castle. She corrected me and told me she is the QUEEN of the castle…
