Swan Mae

July 13, 2012

I had to add another photo for the day – a photo I took once we got home from Mae’s ballet recital. I think Mae had a great week at camp, and learned a ballet move or two. The camp really wasn’t all about ballet, they went to the park to cool off at the wading pool, colored, painted, and sang songs — all under the direction of a real ballerina. Perfect for little girls who love princesses, rainbows and ponies. Mae had a blast, and Alison joined me to watch the festivities. All the girls were wonderful and enjoyed themselves.

If you live in Toronto and are looking for a great, kid-friendly place – be sure to check out Smock Cafe. They have lots of things for kids to do, and all the essentials for mom’s and dad’s — latte’s, food, magazines – and they’ll also have a liquor license soon!

Sleeping Ballerina

July 9, 2012

I didn’t think she’d wake in time for the start of her ballerina workshop – but she did. I thought she’d do her usual delay tactics so she could spend more time at home – but she didn’t.

So – she’s now at her week-long workshop / camp with several new friends led by a REAL ballerina (she has such nice posture!).

It’s 10AM and I miss her already.
