And… We’re back!

I forgot I have this domain! I spend almost all my time on Instagram these days! But – it’s nice to have a place to post photos at a larger size – and maybe say a bit more about what I’m posting.

Today was a half-day for Mae at school – but I let her take the day off so we could spend some time together with Alison and catch up. We went and did some furniture shopping – had lunch at one of our favorite Cuban places – and stopped at Bang Bang Ice Cream! I think Mae was quite happy to spend time with her parents – at least, I hope so 🙂

Off to Mexico

November 7, 2012

I think this was Mae’s third time going to Mexico. She loves Mexico. She loves the warm sun – nice beach – iguana’s – birds – and spending time with her big sister.

I didn’t take a lot of photos during vacation. I needed a break, too. BUT – I did manage to take at least one image a day – mostly instant photos – I’ll put them up soon. We had a great time – and Mae made quite the impression on everyone she met. She’s growing up…

Mae vanGogh

If you ask Mae what she wants to be when she grows up, you’ll get a very enthusiastic response – I want to be an Artist! — and she’ll go on to say that she’s already an artist – and I have to agree. She’s very artistic. She always has a project going on. She’s always noodling new ideas. She loves to work with just about anything which allows her to express herself – and she’s good, too… I can’t even draw a stick figure. Hell, I couldn’t write my own name until 5th grade!

Skyping with Grandma

November 5, 2012

Mae and my mom have a Skype thing going on. I’m not big on video conferencing, it reminds me too much of the old corporate days. But – Mae and mom love it. They go on and on about nothing much at all – but they sure seem like they’re having fun.

I’m about 2 weeks behind. We went off to Mexico for most of that time. So, I’ll be catching up – hopefully – soon.

Recurring look

October 26, 2012

Notice something about the faces she made at me all week. She wasn’t at her best this week. I can’t say I blame her. We’ve all been sick, and the weather was dreary most of the week. Or – at least that’s the way I remember it.

October 25, 2012

I had to borrow this image from Alison. I think I took a film image of Mae this day, but I haven’t developed the film yet. Or – maybe I didn’t. I’ve been really out of it as of late. I think Mae is out of it all the time.

Oh man

October 23, 2012

She’s only four. Soon to be five. I’m in trouble.
